Dr. Wade Aldous is an Associate Lab Director, Disease Control Division Director at the State Hygienic Laboratory at the University of Iowa, in Coralville.
- Dr. Aldous received his Masters of Science in 1991 at Brigham Young University in Microbiology, with a Minor in Biochemistry. In 1994 he received his Ph.D. at the University of Alabama in Biology with an emphasis in Microbiology.
- In 2010 he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Microbiology. He was re-certified in 2013.
- Dr. Aldous served on active duty as a microbiologist with the US Army.
- He was inducted into the Order of Military Medical Merit in 2008 for distinguished service and sustained contributions towards Army medicine.
- He was awarded the Army Surgeon General’s “A” Proficiency Designator in 2008.
- He deployed to Iraq in 2009 with the 10th Combat Support Hospital and 1st Medical Brigade.
- His research was recognized with the Best Clinical Poster, Society for Armed Forces Medical Laboratory Scientists in 2011.
