Dr. Matthew Nonnenmann is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health at the University Of Iowa.
- Dr. Nonnenmann received his Masters of Science in Industrial Hygiene at the University of Iowa in 1999. In 2005, he received his Ph.D. in Industrial Hygiene at the University of Iowa.
- He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist with extensive research experience in field industrial hygiene aerosol exposure assessment and exposure control in agricultural health and safety.
- In 2005 he was awarded the Jack Beno Award for Academic Excellence from the Iowa Governor’s Safety Council.
- In 2009 he was named Teacher of the Year at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler in the Occupational Medicine Residency Program.
- He is member of many professional organizations including:
- American Industrial Hygiene Association
- American Board of Industrial Hygiene
- American Society of Safety Engineers
- American Board of Industrial Hygiene
- His recent focus has been on the measurement of aerosols containing biohazards (e.g., influenza) in both agricultural and health care settings.
